Michener Art Museum Announces New Partnership with Catering by Design

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DOYLESTOWN, PA – The James A. Michener Art Museum, a cultural institution in Doylestown, PA dedicated to collecting, interpreting, and exhibiting American art, has partnered with Catering By Design to provide culinary and event planning expertise for museum events and private rentals.  The Michener Art Museum’s Edgar M. Putman Pavilion, outdoor sculpture garden, and galleries are popular venues for weddings, mitzvahs, business conferences, and other special gatherings. Catering By Design will also run Michener Art Museum’s Terrace Café.

“Catering By Design is exactly the kind of partner a dynamic, visionary art museum needs,” said Lisa Tremper Hanover, Michener Director and CEO. “They always bring style and flair to events, whether small cocktail receptions or multi-day wedding celebrations. With inventive menus, excellent cuisine, and event planning creativity, Catering By Design brings a new level of year-round hospitality to the Michener.” In October 2015, Catering By Design collaborated with the Michener to produce the museum’s signature Art of Wine event, which was the most successful fundraiser in the museum’s history.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Michener Art Museum, which has become a major cultural force in the Philadelphia region and beyond,” said Peter Loevy, who founded Catering in Design in 1991 and partnered with Daniel Love in 1998. “Together we can offer made-from-scratch events that are unique, memorable, and eminently enjoyable.”
